Referral Credit and Monthly Race - Promotion Rules
Version: promo-rules-1.0.0-2026-11-06-o114
Effective: 6 November 2026
These rules are the two standing promotions Ohara runs, published from Part B of our Trade Promotion and Competition Rules (Template): the referral credit (part 1) and the monthly race (part 2). They sit beside our Terms of Service, which apply to everything here.

1. Referral credit
1.1 Promoter. The promoter is UNRESOLVED: OPERATOR_LEGAL_NAME (ABN UNRESOLVED: ABN) of UNRESOLVED: REGISTERED_ADDRESS, trading as Ohara. Contact: UNRESOLVED: SUPPORT_EMAIL, or the form on our Support page.
1.2 Your code. Every account can show its own invite code and link on the Account page. A friend who makes a new account with your code becomes your referral.
1.3 What you get. For the first 90 days after your friend's account is made, we credit you 5% of the berries your friend spends opening packs, net of any refunds, in whole berries (rounded down). The berries of a free reward box paid for by Ohara do not count. We work the credit out every day, for each day (Melbourne time) your friend opened packs, and credit it to your berry wallet, where it shows in your wallet history as a referral credit. A credit is never more than 5% of that day's spend.
1.4 Who counts. Your code counts only while you are an existing buyer: an active account with a confirmed email address that has opened at least one pack. A referral does not count, and no credit is paid for it, if the two accounts appear to belong to one person - including the same mailbox, the same sign-up address, or (when we ask for phone verification) the same verified phone number. You may not refer yourself, or open or use more than one account to obtain a credit (Terms of Service, clause 10). We may withhold or reverse a credit obtained in breach of these rules.
1.5 Your friend's postage allowance. Ohara never gives back more than 10% of what any buyer spends opening packs. A referred friend's postage allowance (Terms of Service, clause 9.2(c)) is therefore 5% of what they open rather than 10%, so their postage perks and your referral credit together stay within it.
2. The monthly race
2.1 Promoter. As in clause 1.1.
2.2 Promotion period. Each calendar month (Melbourne time) is one race, from 12:00 am on its first day to 11:59 pm on its last. The first race is November 2026.
2.3 Who can enter. Every active customer account with a confirmed email address, held by a person aged 18 or over who lives in Australia, is entered automatically. Accounts of Ohara and its staff are not. An account on a break or a self-exclusion is not shown on the board and cannot win while it lasts.
2.4 How to score. Your score for a month is the experience points (XP) you earn in it, as the Terms of Service, clause 9.1 count them: 1 point for each berry you spend opening packs, net of refunds; 20 points for each pack you open; and 100 points for each day on which you open at least one pack. No purchase is necessary to score: opening your free daily reward box counts as an open and a day. The board on the Race page shows the leading accounts by their collector name (or a masked name, never an email address) and your own place.
2.5 Prizes. At the date of these rules the prizes each month are 5,000 berries for first place, 2,500 berries for second and 1,000 berries for third. A change to the prizes is published on the Race page before the month it applies to begins. Prizes are berries: they have no cash value and cannot be withdrawn, sold or transferred (Terms of Service, clause 7).
2.6 How winners are chosen. The winners are the accounts with the highest scores when the month ends. Chance plays no part. A tie goes to the account that reached its score first.
2.7 Telling and paying winners. Within 7 days after a month ends we credit each prize to the winner's berry wallet, where it shows in their wallet history, and publish the winners' names and scores on the Race page. No claim is needed and no fee is payable.
2.8 Fair play. Scores made through automated means, more than one account, collusion, or anything else in breach of the Terms of Service (clause 10) do not count, and we may withhold a prize won that way. Our decision is made reasonably and, on request, explained.
3. Both promotions
3.1 Spending. These promotions never change the odds of any pack. Please spend only what you can afford; the spending limits, breaks and self-exclusion in the Terms of Service, clause 6, apply to every account.
3.2 Changes. We may change or end a promotion for the reasons and with the notice in the Terms of Service, clause 20. A change never takes away a credit or a prize already paid.
3.3 Privacy. We use the information these promotions need (your account, your openings and the board) as our Privacy Policy describes.
3.4 Demo mode. While Ohara runs in demo mode, berries are demo berries with no value, and these promotions are demonstrations.
