Frequently Asked Questions

Version: faq-1.11.0-2026-11-08-o116
Effective: 18 October 2026

This page answers the questions customers ask most often about Ohara: what a pack is, how the odds and the draw work, why a pack can close, what it means when "the top card has been pulled", how berries work, how selling a card back works, postage, refunds, the age limit and how to contact us. It is a plain-language guide only. The binding rules are in our Terms of Service, Purchase Agreement and Sales Terms, Buy-back Terms and Privacy Policy; if this page and those documents ever differ, those documents apply. Nothing here limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Current build: Ohara remains a demo/test service. No real money is collected and no real cards are sold or posted. Proposed paid-service procedures in this draft (including refunds on closure, support response times, spending controls and retention) require the bracketed owner decisions and implementation before launch. Account and privacy obligations still apply to information actually collected.

The basics

What is Ohara?

Ohara is an Australian online store that sells real, physical One Piece trading cards. You open a "pack" online, our server picks one card for you at random from a pool of cards we hold in stock, and that card is yours. We keep it safe in your vault until you ask us to post it to you or you sell it back to us.

What exactly is a "pack"?

An Ohara pack is the purchase of one physical card, chosen at random from the pool listed on the pack page. It is not a factory-sealed booster pack. Every opening gives you exactly one card. See the Purchase Agreement and Sales Terms, clauses 2 and 3.

Is Ohara connected with the makers of the One Piece Card Game?

No. Ohara is an independent retailer of physical cards. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by the publisher of the One Piece Card Game or the owners of the One Piece franchise. See the Terms of Service, clause 13.

Who can use Ohara?

Adults aged 18 or over who live in Australia. Packs involve chance, so we do not sell them to anyone under 18. We may ask you to confirm your age or identity. See the Terms of Service, clause 3.

Is Ohara taking real orders yet?

Not yet. Ohara currently runs in demo mode: no real money moves, demo berries have no value, and openings, buy-backs and postage requests are demonstrations only. Please do not enter a real address or payment details in demo mode. We will tell you before paid sales start and ask you to accept the terms that will apply. See the Purchase Agreement and Sales Terms, clause 15.

Odds and the draw

How do the odds work?

Every pack page lists every card in the pool, with its condition, its reference value, how many copies are left, and its exact odds — the chance that one opening draws that card — shown to four decimal places (0.0001%) and as an approximate "1 in N". The odds of all the cards add up to exactly 100.0000%. The odds apply to each opening separately: they describe your chance every time you open, not a promise about what will happen over many openings.

Do the odds change as cards are pulled?

No. The odds are fixed for the whole life of a pack revision (a published version of the pack, shown as r1, r2 and so on). When anyone opens a pack, a physical card leaves the pool, so the "left" counts go down, but the odds do not move. See the Purchase Agreement and Sales Terms, clause 6.

Are the odds the same for everyone?

Yes. The odds shown for a revision apply to every opening of that revision, by every customer. Nothing about your account or your spending changes the odds you are drawn against.

When is my card actually chosen?

Before the animation starts. Our server makes the draw using a cryptographically secure random number generator, records the result, and only then does your screen play the reveal. The reveal style, sound, skipping, and anything else you do during the animation cannot change the card you get. See the Purchase Agreement and Sales Terms, clause 5.

Can I check my result later?

Yes. Every opening is permanently recorded with the revision, the price, the time, the card you received and the version of the terms that applied, and a fingerprint of the exact odds you were shown is recorded with your opening. Your history and ledger show your openings. If you think something is wrong, contact us and we will review it against our records.

What happens if someone else opens the same pack at the same moment?

Each request to open is tied to the pool exactly as you saw it. If another opening changes the pool first, we do not draw for you on the old view: nothing is drawn, no berries are taken, and the page refreshes so you can open again. If only the stock moved (the odds are unchanged), the site may simply carry on. You are never drawn against odds you were not shown.

I opened 10 packs at once. Is that one draw or ten?

Ten. Every pack in a run is its own opening, with its own draw, its own charge and its own entry in your ledger. You can stop a run at any time, and you are only charged for the packs that were actually opened. See the Purchase Agreement and Sales Terms, clause 7.

Closed packs and the top card

What happens if the card I draw is out of stock?

On a pack with stock replacement (shown on the pack page), a card selling out never closes the pack: we put a copy we hold in reserve back in, or buy the card back in. Until it is back, an opening that draws it is paid in berries instead of the card. A stock replacement pays the card's listed berry amount for the box revision you accepted - the amount fixed when that revision was published and displayed when you pulled - and the credited berries never change afterwards, regardless of later market prices. The odds never change. See the Purchase Agreement and Sales Terms, clause 3.3.

Why did a pack close?

A pack with stock replacement (shown on the pack page) never closes because a card sells out: see the question above. Any other pack closes because a card in it sold out. The odds on a pack page are a promise backed by real stock. When the last copy of any card in a revision is drawn, those odds can no longer be honoured, so the revision closes rather than quietly changing its odds. A revision can also close if its remaining stock reaches a minimum level, or if we close it for an operational reason (for example, to fix a listing error). The pack page tells you why it closed. See the Purchase Agreement and Sales Terms, clause 6.4.

Will a closed pack come back?

It may. If we bring a closed pack back, it is a new revision with its own price, card list and odds, which you will see on the pack page before you open. (Restocking a pack that is still on sale is different: see "What does Restocking mean?") A closed revision is never reopened with different odds or a different price. A scheduled drop never comes back once it has ended.

What is a scheduled drop?

A new pack we announce ahead of its sale, with a countdown on the home page ("Drops this week") and on its pack page. Its price and odds are published when it is announced and are frozen: they do not change before it opens, and nobody can edit them - we can only cancel a drop. Nothing can be opened before the sale time, except by customers with early access (level 5 and above, 30 minutes early). See the Purchase Agreement and Sales Terms, clause 6.8.

Can a drop sell out before it opens?

Yes, if early access takes the last copy of a card. A drop that sells out has ended: it is never restocked or replaced, and it shows as sold out until its sale time. A later drop is always a new drop, with its own odds.

What happens if my opening was the one that pulled the last copy?

Your opening counts and the card is yours. On a pack with stock replacement (shown on the pack page) the pack stays on sale at the same price and odds: we restock the card, and until it is back an opening that draws it is paid its listed value in berries. A pack without stock replacement closes straight after your draw. If your request reaches us after a pack has closed, or while it is on hold, it is refused and you are not charged.

What does Restocking mean?

A restock is copies of a card coming back into a pack that is still on sale. On a pack with stock replacement, a restock never changes the price or the odds: the same revision keeps selling while we top it up, and an opening that draws a card we hold no copy of is paid that card's listed value in berries instead of the card. A pack is never taken off sale for a restock - not even when every card in its pool has gone: it stays on the shelf at its published price and odds, paying berries for what it cannot hand over, and our own alert tells us to restock it. The pack page shows, before you open, which cards we hold no copy of and what each of them pays. See the Purchase Agreement and Sales Terms, clauses 3.3 and 6.4(a).

What does On hold mean?

We can pause a single pack for an operational, legal, security or integrity reason, for example to check a listing or to rebuild it after a card's market price has risen sharply. Its page says it is on hold and why. While it is on hold it takes no openings and nothing is charged. A restock does not lift a hold. When a card's market price was the reason, the shop rebuilds the pack by itself at the week's locked card values as soon as the rebuilt pack passes our checks: it comes back as a new revision, with its own odds, at a price no more than 10% from the old one, listing only cards we hold a copy of - and you see it on the pack page before you open it. If a rebuild cannot pass those checks, the pack stays on hold and we are alerted. When we lift a hold instead, the pack reopens at the same price and odds. See the Purchase Agreement and Sales Terms, clauses 6.4 and 6.6.

What does "The top card has been pulled" mean?

On a pack with stock replacement (shown on the pack page), the top card is restocked like any other card, and until it is back an opening that draws it is paid its listed value in berries. The rest of this answer is about a pack without stock replacement.

Each revision has a top card (sometimes called the chase): the most valuable card in the pool. When someone pulls the last copy of the top card, the pack does not simply end. Instead, we automatically publish a new revision without that card, in which:

The notice stays up until we top up the stock. If you are part-way through a run when a card sells out, the rest of the run continues only while the cards left in the box still meet the odds rules every revision must meet. If they do not, the run stops there, and the packs not yet opened are not opened or charged. If a new revision is on sale, you can choose to continue at its price and odds. See the Purchase Agreement and Sales Terms, clause 8.

Berries

What are berries?

Berries are Ohara's in-game currency. You buy them by topping up your account (100 berries cost A$1.00), and you spend them on one thing: packs. Berries are not money, a gift card or store credit: they have no cash value and they never expire. Your balance is shown in berries and in dollars: the dollar figure is what those berries cost to buy, not a cash value. See the Terms of Service, clause 7.

How much can I top up?

Each top-up is between A$10 and A$1,000. We may offer preset amounts and may set daily, weekly or monthly limits, which we will show you. You can also ask us to set a lower limit for you at any time.

Can I cash out my berries?

No. Berries cannot be withdrawn or exchanged for money, sold or transferred to anyone else. They can only be used with Ohara. There are limited exceptions: refunds for payment errors, refunds the Australian Consumer Law requires, and the refund of your unused purchased berries when an account closes (see the next question).

What happens to my berries if my account closes?

The proposed paid-launch closure policy is still awaiting owner and legal approval. Its draft Refundable Amount would be paid to your original payment method. That is the lesser of your berry balance and the berries you bought with money minus the berries you spent — in other words, money you paid for berries that you have not used. Berries that came from selling cards back, from promotions or from a demo credit are not refunded as money. See the Terms of Service, clause 7.10.

Do berries expire? Are there any fees?

No. Berries never expire, and we do not charge any fees for holding berries or for an inactive account.

Where can I see every berry movement?

In your ledger. Every top-up, opening, refund and buy-back is listed with the amount and your running balance.

My top-up says "pending". What does that mean?

Your payment is still being confirmed by the payment processor. The berries are credited automatically as soon as the payment succeeds. If the payment fails, no berries are credited and you are not charged.

Selling cards back (buy-back)

How does buy-back work?

In your vault (or on the results board after a run), select the cards you want to sell and press sell. We show you the total in berries and dollars before anything is sold. When you confirm, the berries are credited to your balance immediately, as one ledger entry per card, and the card becomes ours and goes back into our stock. See the Buy-back Terms.

How much will I get?

The card's market reference value from our price feed at the time of the sale, at the rate shown with the price, credited at 1 berry = A$0.01; for most cards the rate is 100% of that value. When you draw a card, the buy-back price we show you for it is guaranteed for 48 hours: sell it back within 48 hours of the draw and you get at least that price, even if market values fall - or more, if they rise. Your vault shows the guaranteed price and when the guarantee ends. After 48 hours the sale uses the price at that time. We always show you the price before you confirm. See the Buy-back Terms, clause 4.

What is a reference value?

Our own figure for what a printing of a card is worth today, in Australian dollars, derived from third-party market data and locked each Monday at 00:00 Australia/Melbourne (AEST or AEDT) for the week. Daily market updates are internal only. It is not an appraisal of your copy, and it is not a promise of what you could sell the card for elsewhere. Values go up and down. See the Purchase Agreement and Sales Terms, clause 9.

Which cards can't be sold back?

Cards that are in a postage request (from the moment you confirm the request, including after it has been packed or shipped), cards that have not fully settled into your vault yet, cards on hold (for example, under investigation), cards already sold back, and cards without a current reference value. You also cannot sell back while your account is restricted or while buy-back is suspended. If you cancel a postage request before it is packed, those cards can be sold again. See the Buy-back Terms, clause 3.

Why can't I sell back a card I drew just before 5 October 2026?

Cards drawn before 5 October 2026 were drawn before we recorded the guaranteed price with each draw. So that such a card is never bought back inside its 48 hours at less than the price you were shown, it can be sold back once 48 hours have passed since you drew it, at the buy-back price at that time. Your vault shows when.

Can I undo a buy-back?

No. A completed buy-back is final, and we cannot sell the same card back to you. The card may appear in a future pack, where anyone (including you) could draw it.

Do I have to sell my cards back?

Never. Your cards stay yours. You can keep them in your vault for as long as you like, or ask us to post them to you.

Can buy-back change?

Yes, but only for the future. We may change how the buy-back price is set, or suspend or end buy-back, with notice (except in urgent cases such as a data fault or suspected fraud). Completed sales are never affected, and your cards remain yours either way. See the Buy-back Terms, clause 9.

Postage

How do I get my cards posted to me?

Select up to 20 cards in your account's Withdrawals tab, enter your postcode and choose from the eligible postage tiers. Untracked letters are available for 1-5 cards worth at most A$30 in total: Untracked - no compensation if lost. Tracked letters cover 1-5 cards worth at most A$100. Tracked parcels carry up to 20 cards, with Extra Cover above A$100. Above A$500, request an operator quote for Registered Post. Eligibility uses the week's locked card values. See the full service, handling, cover and total before you confirm. Your consumer-law rights remain as set out in the Purchase Terms, clause 14. Demo: no charge and nothing is posted.

Do you post overseas?

Not at the moment. We post only to Australian addresses.

How long does postage take?

We aim to dispatch within UNRESOLVED: DISPATCH_BUSINESS_DAYS business days, and we send you the carrier and tracking number when your parcel is on its way. Delivery times then depend on the carrier and your location.

Can I change my address after I confirm?

No. The address is saved with the request. If the request has not been packed yet, you can cancel it (your postage fee is refunded and the cards go back to your vault) and make a new request.

What if my parcel is lost or arrives damaged?

Contact us. Cards are our responsibility until they are delivered, so once the loss or damage is established we will replace the affected cards (or compensate you) and refund the postage for that parcel. See the Purchase Agreement and Sales Terms, clauses 11 and 14.

Refunds and problems

Can I get a refund if I don't like the card I pulled?

We do not offer change-of-mind refunds simply because you dislike a properly supplied random result. This never removes remedies for defects, misdescription or other consumer-law failures. If you would rather have value than the card, you may be able to sell it back to us.

What if a card is faulty or not as described?

You are protected by the Australian Consumer Law. If a card is not genuine, is not the card listed, is in a materially worse condition than listed, or is lost or damaged in our care, we will put it right — by replacing the card, refunding you or compensating you, depending on the problem and your rights. If we need the card back, we arrange and pay for its return. See the Purchase Agreement and Sales Terms, clause 13.

What do the condition codes mean?

NM (Near Mint), LP (Lightly Played), MP (Moderately Played), HP (Heavily Played) and DMG (Damaged). Each card's condition is shown on the pack page. The full descriptions are in the Purchase Agreement and Sales Terms, clause 12.

Berries were taken but I didn't get a card. What happens?

If our systems could not complete a draw after taking berries, the opening goes on hold, nothing is drawn, and the berries are returned — automatically where possible, or after our support team reviews it. Your ledger will show "Refund: no card was drawn". If you are unsure, contact us with the opening reference from your ledger.

Should I dispute a charge with my bank?

Please contact us first; we can usually fix a problem faster. You always keep your right to dispute a transaction with your card issuer in good faith. Knowingly making a false dispute is prohibited; a genuine dispute remains available even if you authorised the payment or used the berries. See the Terms of Service, clause 11.

Your account, safety and privacy

Can I have more than one account?

No. One account per person. Accounts are personal and cannot be shared, sold or transferred.

Can I use a bot or script?

No. Automated tools of any kind are not allowed, including tools that open packs or sell cards back automatically. We use rate limits to keep things fair for everyone. See the Terms of Service, clause 10.

Do levels give me anything?

Yes - perks, never money. From level 3 your packs wear a pack-art frame on your own screens (bronze, then silver at level 6, gold at 9 and holo at 12). From level 5 you can open a scheduled drop 30 minutes before its public sale, and we take half off your postage; from level 8 postage is free. Postage perks come from a postage allowance of 10% of the berries you have spent opening packs, and every quote shows the perk as its own line. XP comes from what you do: 1 XP per berry spent opening packs, 20 per pack you open with your berries and 100 for each day you open a pack with your berries. Perks have no monetary value, are never berries, pack discounts or free packs, and never change the odds. See the Terms of Service, clause 9.

Can you help me control my spending?

Yes. You can ask us to set a top-up limit, give you a break, or self-exclude you from Ohara. We act within one business day, and a request to loosen a limit only takes effect after at least seven days. If you are worried about your spending, free and confidential support is available 24/7 from Gambling Help Online (gamblinghelponline.org.au, 1800 858 858). See the Terms of Service, clause 6.

What information do you keep about me, and why?

The essentials to run your account, process your purchases, post your cards and keep accurate records — for example, your email address, a password hash (the password is checked transiently, never stored in plaintext), delivery addresses you give us, and your transaction history. Card details are held by our payment processor, not by us. See our Privacy Policy and Data Handling Note.

How do I close my account?

Contact us at UNRESOLVED: SUPPORT_EMAIL. Before you close, we suggest you have your cards posted or sell them back. The proposed paid-launch closure refund is described in clause 7.10; it is not yet approved or implemented. Demo berries have no monetary value. See the Terms of Service, clause 12.

Contact

How do I contact support?

Email UNRESOLVED: SUPPORT_EMAIL. Please include your account email and any relevant reference from your ledger (opening, top-up, buy-back or postage). We acknowledge complaints within UNRESOLVED: COMPLAINT_ACK_BUSINESS_DAYS business days and aim to respond within UNRESOLVED: COMPLAINT_RESPONSE_BUSINESS_DAYS business days. If you are not happy with our answer, you can ask for a review, or contact your state or territory consumer protection agency, the ACCC, or (for privacy matters) the OAIC. See the Terms of Service, clause 21.
